After the Hang Seng Index opened 114 points lower this morning, it fell 252 points or 0.97% in half a day to 25,843 points. The H-Share Index fell 115 points, or 1.3%, to 9,067 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 72 points, or 1.3%, to 5,551 points. Hong Kong stocks retreated in the afternoon, with the decline extending to about 300 points.

Technology and Internet stocks continued to be weak. NetEase (09999) fell 2.9%; Kuaishou (01024) fell 2.3%; Alibaba (09988) fell 2%; Tencent (00700) fell 1.1%; Meituan (03690) fell 0.7%. S&P pointed out that the risks faced by Meituan to achieve EBITDA recovery have increased. Tencent (00700) and Xiaomi (01810) fell 1.1% and 0.8%.

Mobile phone parts stock Qiu Titanium (01478) fell 3.4%; it was reported that Sunny (02382) exclusively supplies Beanbao mobile assistant engineering prototype lenses and main camera telephoto modules, and its stock price fell 0.5%. Chip stock SMIC (00981) fell 0.4%, while Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347) rose 0.96%. Telecommunications equipment stock ZTE (00763) fell 2.8%.

As for automobile stocks, BYD (01211) fell 1.6%, NIO (09866) and Xpeng Motors (09868) fell 3% and 3.9%, and Leapmotor (09863) rose 2.1%. In terms of smart driving concepts, Pony.ai (02026) and Horizon (09660) each fell more than 2%, while WeRide (00800) rose 2.5%.

In terms of consumer stocks, Bubble Mart (09992) fell 0.6%, while MinisoPin (09896) and Nongfu Spring (09633) fell 2.3% and 2.6%; Mengniu Dairy (02319) fell 1.46%; Samsonite (01255) fell 2.95%; Laopu Gold (06181) rose more than 2%; Chow Tai Fook (01929) and Chow Sang Sang (00116) both fell more than 1%.

Resource-related stocks generally continued to perform well, with Chalco (02600) rising 4.27%, China Molybdenum (03993) rising 2.6%, and Hongqiao (01378) rising 1.86%. As for gold stocks, Zhaojin (01818) once rose more than 1% and then partially retreated. Zijin (02899) also retreated, rising 0.6% in the afternoon; China Gold International (02099) rose 1.6%.

Hong Kong’s local real estate stocks and mainland developers were under pressure. Henderson Land (00012) fell 3%, becoming the worst-performing blue chip during the session; Hang Lung Group (00101) fell 1.1%; Swire Properties (0197) 2) fell 1.6%; New World Development (00017) fell 1%; SHKP (00016) fell 1.3%; China Overseas Land (00688) fell 1.1%; China Resources Land (01109) fell 2%. R&F (02777)'s proposed restructuring of its U.S. dollar notes was approved by 77% of creditors and the deadline was extended. The stock price fell 1.6%.

Hong Kong stocks retreated after rising for two days in a row. They are currently in a state of contention between good and bad, which is consistent with the relatively quiet trend in December in the past. It is currently back below the 26,000 mark, and short-term adjustments may continue to extend. Technically, the range pattern since early October continues to maintain, after falling below the main moving average on the daily chart, so focusing on the key support at the low range of 25,500 to 25,000 is also the key to restarting the rebound.
